Trans Peer Support

We Offer:

One on one peer support

We offer one to one peer support meetings with our trans peer support staff.  

We can offer signposting and support if you are exploring transition, access to health care, gender affirming surgery, or pregnancy and/or abortion support. We can also refer you to SHC counsellors for specific needs or signpost for additional mental health or addiction support.  

We offer support for trans youth and their families, including referrals to counselling services within SHC. 

Counselling

We offer LGBTQ+ and trans specific counselling and support for youth and adults.  

Resources

We have further resources within the centre for: 

·         HIV testing 

·         STD testing kits 

·         Information on safe binding practices 

·         Information on navigating GP visits as a trans person 

Supplies

If you are injecting hormones, with a script or DIY, we offer free safe injection supplies (needles, syringes, etc). You are not expected to supply any details or identifying information about yourself or your hormone regimen to receive supplies. We also offer sharps containers and disposal service.
