Position: Staff Nurse (General), Migrant Health Screening

Salary: In line with HSE 13 point pay scale.

Location: Migrant Health Screening Team, Block 33, St. Finbarr’s Hospital, Douglas Road, Cork.

About the Sexual Health Centre:

Originally founded in 1987, as Cork AIDS Alliance, to provide support to people living with HIV, the Sexual Health Centre is now a leading organisation supporting and promoting sexual health in Ireland.

The Sexual Health Centre is now hosting 2 Nursing Posts on behalf of  HSE South West to support the Migrant Health Screening Service.  

Brief Description of the Role:   

The Migrant Health Screening Service provides accessible, community-based healthcare to refugees, international protection applicants and other migrant populations across Cork and Kerry. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the service delivers health assessments, communicable disease screening, vaccinations and support with identifying and addressing healthcare needs. The nursing role will contribute to the development of a nurse-led service, delivering care across accommodation centres, community clinics and outreach settings, while supporting care coordination, continuity of care and access to appropriate health services for vulnerable migrant populations.
