The Pride Guide

It is evident through our work in the Sexual Health Centre that the amount of LGBTI+ terminology in existence can sometimes be overwhelming for people. This guide explains some of these terms, many of which will be familiar and others that may be new to you. Some of the terminology is widely accepted, while certain terms may be offensive, outdated or poorly understood. Terms relating to sexuality and gender expression/identity can often be confused, therefore, this guide has separated the terminology into two sections, Sexuality and Gender.
