Shift is a guide to sexual health, puberty, sex, relationships and everything in between. It provides clear information for young people of all sexualities and genders.

WISE Online

An online guide for teachers and other professionals who deliver relationships and sexuality education (RSE) to young people.

In The Know

‘In the Know’ is a 6 session sexual health programme for youth workers and other educators to deliver to young gay and bisexual men and men who have sex with men (gbMSM) and Trans People. This programme was developed in partnership with BeLonG To and the HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme.

The Sexual Health Centre 2019 Annual Report

Post-termination support was in high demand last year, according to the Sexual Health Centre’s annual report for 2019. The Centre saw a 1.5-fold increase in counselling sessions for people who had had a termination, from one-hundred-and-fifty-seven counselling sessions in 2018 to two-hundred-and-thirty-six in 2019.

Resource for Outdoor Sex Workers

The Sexual Health Centre collaborated with GOSHH (Gender, Orientation, Sexual Health, HIV) and the Sex Workers Alliance Ireland (SWAI), on the production of an information card for street-based sex workers who are working during the COVID-19 pandemic. This card was developed in cooperation with street-based sex workers, and contains practical advice to minimise the risk of transmission while at work.

Screen-Age Kicks Campaign

Our Screen-age kicks campaign aims to raise awareness of the issues that teens may come up against online in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Screen-age Kicks guide deals with topics such as ‘trolling’, ‘sexting’, communication skills, consent, and porn. Parents and youth workers need to be equipped to approach these issues in an informed and practical manner.

Healthy Relationships Campaign

We released our guide on navigating healthy relationships during the COVID-19 outbreak. This campaign was created in collaboration with Daniel Flynn, Principal Psychology Manager with HSE Cork South Mental Health Services.

SafeRsexwork Campaign

Our ‘SafeRsexwork’ guide offers practical harm reduction advice for individuals undertaking sex work and escort work during the COVID-19 outbreak. It includes input from sex workers, escorts, and representatives from the Sex Workers Alliance Ireland.

HIV Support Campaign

With the aim of providing HIV support and information in light of COVID-19, this social media campaign saw our Senior Health Promotion Officer, Phil Corcoran, providing guidance on the services available in Cork, virtual support, and general HIV awareness.
