LGBTI+ Sexual Health Support for Young People

At the Sexual Health Centre, we are excited to announce the launch of a new LGBTI+ Sexual Health Advice and Counselling service. This service became available thanks to a recent grant allocation that will ensure that all LGBTI+ young people feel visible, valued and included.

Recognising the necessity to enhance provided sexual health services in response to the growing needs of LGBTI+ young people in Cork, we are delighted to be able to offer a dedicated Counsellor and Sexual Health Advisor for young people John Fleming to discuss sexual issues, norms and concerns.

Services provided as part of the project:

  • Counselling (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Sexual Issues, Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence
  • Sexual Health Advice & Education
  • Healthy Relationships Education & Support
  • Gender Identity & Sexual Identity Support
  • Signposting (Vaccinations, STI Testing, Contraception, Rapid HIV Testing, Drugs & Alcohol Worker)

Some of these services have already been available at the centre prior to the start of the project.

If you have any queries or would like to arrange a meeting to discuss how we might work together, please don’t hesitate to contact John Fleming on johnfleming@sexualhealthcentre.com or Lorraine Sisk on lorrainesisk@sexualhealthcentre.com.
